Hey all — I just spent a great evening over at Baerlic with a couple of trip-goers from 2022. We brought our laptops and spent the evening editing images from the trip — in between telling stories, I managed to dig through a find a couple of images I hadn’t considered. This first B&W image was shot from the car as we descended from Salt Lake area down into the valley. The layers both natural and man-made grab my attention, and the telegraph (?) pole in center of the frame lands it.
This image I made while we were hanging out, waiting for our air-taxi to show up. The light out in Utah is always moving, no matter what kind of weather is happening.
NEW SITE
I spent most of September and some of October a few months building and tweaking my new website, canyonphotofloat.com — please visit it and see what you think. If you want to be a super hero, drop some keywords into Google and keep paging through the results until you find the site, and click through — that goes a LONG way to making my site relevant to Google.
KEYWORDS: (in any manner, partial, rewritten into a sentence, copy/paste)
Landscape Photography Workshop Rafting Green River Utah
If I paste those in, the site shows up on page 3 in my results (which will vary for everyone).
DISCOUNTS!
Sarah and I have the goal of filling up all 12 seats for 2023 — to encourage sales, we’re offering a huge 20% discount. We haven’t begun hardcore marketing yet, so you guys are getting an early crack at seats. If you know any of the 2022 crew, reach out and ask them about the trip. You can also read their testimonials here: https://canyonphotofloat.com/experience#testimonials
We had such a blast with the 2022 trip—there were the nightly roundtable discussions, the swimming, the amazing food, and lots and lots of great photography — it truly exceeded my expectations. Desolation and Gray Canyons are such special places, and there are very few experiences like a wilderness rafting trip—I really hope you guys can make it!
